Quality Specialist

Location: Leicester

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week (Early finish on Fridays)

About the Company:
Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Leicester, is seeking an experienced Quality Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organisation with a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Conduct internal audits, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and company procedures.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
• Provide training and support to staff on quality procedures and best practices.
• Prepare and present reports on quality performance metrics to senior management.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Quality Specialist or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 standards.
• Ideally, an engineering background or experience working closely with engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective corrective actions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across various departments.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
