About the Company:
Our client is a leading recycling and waste management business known for their commitment to sustainability and operational excellence. They are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic HSE Manager to lead their Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) strategy, ensuring the highest standards across their operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the company’s HSE strategy in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and promote a strong HSE culture across the organisation, fostering a safe and environmentally responsible working environment.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections across all sites to ensure compliance with HSE legislation and industry best practices.
- Oversee incident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective actions.
- Provide expert guidance and training to employees on HSE policies, procedures, and practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE into all aspects of the business.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on HSE performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all HSE documentation is accurately maintained and up-to-date.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a HSE role within the Manufacturing, Warehousing, or Plant industries.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Diploma level qualification in a relevant field is desirable but not essential.
- Proactive and results-driven, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
