Lab Technician
Our biotech client has a fantastic opportunity for a Lab Technician to join its team. You will be responsible for manufacturing ELISA plates, large-scale buffers, and reagents within a well-maintained, GMP/GLP-compliant production environment. This a rare lab-based role that offers a 4-day working week.
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lab Technician to join our Technical Production team. In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing ELISA plates, large-scale buffers, and reagents within a well-maintained, GMP/GLP-compliant production environment. You will be degree educated in a relevant subject couple with experience with ELISA. We can also consider those with the equivalent industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing components for ELISA diagnostic kits, including microtitre plate coating, bulk buffer and reagents, and positive/negative controls.
- Dispensing and labeling common reagents into appropriate containers.
- Performing data analysis and interpretation to support production needs.
- Supporting the Analytical Team with tasks as required.
- Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensuring the laboratory environment meets GMP/GLP standards.
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting low inventory to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures within the manufacturing environment.
- Undertaking additional manufacturing tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BSc in a life science
- Understanding of ELISA and its applications
Desirable Experience:
- Previous industrial experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
