Product Compliance Technologist

About the Role
We are looking for a Product Technologist to support the business with regulatory compliance requirements across a diverse range of products, including blended fluid products.
This role will be integral in ensuring that the company's products meet global regulatory standards and market requirements.

Location: Dorset, commutable from Poole, Bournemouth, and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay updated with global industry-specific legislation, advising the wider team on upcoming changes and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Design team to implement artwork changes, ensuring compliance across all target markets.
- Research and assess risks and regulatory requirements for launching products in new global markets.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Classification, Labelling, and Packaging (CLP) requirements across global markets.
- Work with the Product Development team to ensure all products are fully compliant for market placement, completing all necessary documentation, testing, and due diligence.
- Take ownership of the systematic filing, maintenance, updating, and distribution of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product technical files.
- Monitor global regulatory developments and provide impact assessments and compliance strategies while effectively communicating complex requirements to non-technical audiences.
- Act as the primary point of contact with global regulatory authorities.
- Support Customer Service teams with technical customer queries or concerns regarding products.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and chemical regulations, including policies such as REACH, BPR, PCN, Detergents, CLP, GHS, FIFRA, TSCA, Prop65, CPNP, and Dangerous Goods Transport.
- Assist with the safe and compliant transportation of dangerous goods worldwide.
- Manage environmental compliance requests via online portals for multiple EU markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or related technical field.
- Relevant industry experience in regulatory compliance for blended fluid/chemical products would be highly advantageous.
- Strong research skills with the ability to thoroughly address areas of uncertainty to a high, informative standard.
Desirable
- Generalist compliance knowledge across product and environmental regulations.
